The Legendary Lee Greenwood Delivers Unforgettable Performance

Wilkesboro, N.C. – The legendary Lee Greenwood, a five-time Male Vocalist of the Year, captivated the audience with a nostalgic tour of his greatest hits during his recent performance at the John A. Walker Center on Thursday, September 19, 2024.

As the performance drew to a close, Mr. Greenwood presented the crowd with a heartfelt American tribute. The highlight of the evening was his iconic song, “God Bless the USA,” which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. The powerful finale was a moving tribute to the nation and its heroes. In a touching moment, Mr. Greenwood asked all military personnel and veterans in attendance to stand, receiving a well-deserved round of applause from the audience. This gesture was a profound expression of gratitude for their service and sacrifice.

The performance was sponsored by Carolina West Wireless of Wilkesboro.
