Boone Police Seek Public Assistance on Hit & Run

On Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 7:23 pm, Boone Police and Boone Fire personnel responded to Deerfield Road and the intersection of Blairmont Drive for a hit and run crash involving a pedestrian.  Forty-eight-year-old Terry Turbyfill was located with life threatening injuries.         Mr. Turbyfill was transported to the Watauga Medical Center where, after lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced deceased.  Anyone with information regarding this incident should contact Detective Delaney at 828-268-6925 or Sc***********@to*********.net.
