BOONE, N.C. – App State Athletics is excited to announce a new opportunity for fans to engage directly with App State Football on Fridays before home games this fall.
“Football Fridays” will feature lunch with Mountaineer alum and current Special Assistant to Athletics, Steve Wilks, throughout the 2026 season at High Country area Town Tavern and Ale House locations, beginning Friday, Sept. 4. Head Coach Dowell Loggains will join the fun for the Oct. 9 lunch.
For the nationally televised Thursday night game against James Madison on Oct. 22, the lunch will be held that day at Rivers Street Ale House in Boone. The full schedule is below.
Attendees will be asked to pay $25 at the door, which covers lunch and water. Additional drinks will be available for individuals to purchase. RSVPs are encouraged. Click here to RSVP for the week one Football Friday with Coach Wilks.
