AMOREM invites families, caregivers and community members to either of two annual memorial services as we gather to remember, honor and celebrate the lives of those we love.

WE REMEMBER THEM.

This is an opportunity for AMOREM team members and community members to come together and remember the patients and families served throughout the past year. Chaplains, medical social workers, volunteers, grief support service team members and many others provide support to the community during these annual services by sharing prayer, music and reflection.

“Coming together as a community to remember our loved ones is a meaningful and important grief ritual,” says AMOREM Director of Grief Services Kimberly Setzer. “Remembering those who gave us life, shared in our life experiences and helped shape our identity allows us to honor their lives, celebrate their lasting influence and preserve the legacy they leave behind.”

Attendees are welcome to bring a photo of their loved one to hold during the service.

Compassionate Connections: Memorial Services are sponsored through Ashewood Grief and Counseling Services, grief support services of AMOREM, and are among the many opportunities offered to help individuals of all ages and families cope with the loss of people they love. Grief support services are provided at no cost to the community, even to those with no affiliation with hospice services.

AMOREM has served as the region’s local nonprofit hospice provider for more than four decades, previously as Burke Hospice and Palliative Care and Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, and since 2021, as AMOREM. Its commitment to high-quality care is reflected in its five-star rating, the highest possible rating, on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ Care Compare website.
