Jefferson woman charged after alleged Walmart vehicle break-in
WEST JEFFERSON — Authorities charged a Jefferson woman with allegedly breaking into a Chevrolet Equinox at Walmart on May 18, according to court records.
Heather Dawn Dishman, of Joe Little Road, is facing one felony charge of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct for causing a disturbance in the store’s parking lot by using abusive language, according to a magistrate’s order outlining her arrest.
Dishman allegedly used foul language at the victim, intended to “provoke immediate violent retaliation” while breaking into the vehicle, and appeared “very irate,” according to the magistrate’s order.
A magistrate issued a $2,500 secured bond to Dishman. She is scheduled to appear in Ashe County District Court on Aug. 6, according to court records.
