The Watauga Arts Council Announces the Return of Buskers Fest to Downtown Boone on September 12, 2026
Boone, NC – The Watauga Arts Council (WAC) is excited to bring Buskers Fest back to downtown Boone on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. This free, open-air festival celebrates the arts through live music, performances, local artists, and
interactive experiences throughout downtown.
Originally launched in 2021 as a creative response to COVID-19, Buskers Fest provided a safe, outdoor way for the community to experience the arts. Since then, the event has grown each year, bringing together an increasingly diverse lineup of artists, musicians, and performers
while drawing audiences from across the High Country and beyond.
The festival invites people of all ages to explore Boone’s creative community and engage with the arts in a lively, accessible, and walkable setting during the lovely season of fall.
