Two AMOREM CNAs receive certification

HUDSON– AMOREM certified nursing assistants Sharon Barnett and Sharon Dula passed their Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center exams and became Certified Hospice and Palliative Nursing Assistants.

The CHPNA certification is a professional credential designed for nursing assistants who specialize in hospice care and palliative medicine. The Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center administers the exam that is designed for experienced hospice and palliative nursing assistants.

“I am incredibly proud of Sharon Dula and Sharon Barnett for achieving their HPCC certification,” says Nurse Team Coordinator Whitney Rosenbalm. “Their dedication and commitment to professional growth and compassionate care exemplify the spirit of excellence that AMOREM strives for. Their achievement reflects their hard work and passion, and I could not be more proud.”

The certification process and exam validate and evaluate an individual’s expertise in a specialty area, such as hospice and palliative medicine. Achieving an HPCC certification shows that Dula and Barnett have a mastery of knowledge in the field of hospice care and palliative medicine.

“Of course, I was nervous when taking the exam,” says Barnett. “I gave this my best effort and passing was a huge accomplishment for me.”

HPCC credentials show a clear commitment to safe, ethical and evidence-based care. The certification process allows Dula and Barnett to sharpen their skills and knowledge, increase their competence and confidence during practice, participate with and learn from colleagues and so much more.

“I take great pride in my work and try to be the best that I can be,” says Dula. “I am so blessed with the opportunity to work at AMOREM and I have more compassion and love for my work than I have in the more than 20 years that I have been in healthcare. I am so thankful for the AMOREM team for giving me this opportunity to grow as a professional.”
