Tic Tac Container Leads to Arrest and Seizure of over 250 Xanax

 

Sheriff B. Phil Howell announces the arrest of Isabella Lawson of Lansing, in connection to narcotics activity just before midnight on October 17th, 2019.

 

On Thursday, October 17th, 2019 at 11:45pm Sheriff Deputies Curtis Elliott and Nicholas Johnson observed a vehicle parked on Highway 163. Deputies Elliott and Johnson approached two adult females sitting in the car.

 

A Tic Tac case containing several white pills was discovered during the investigation that led to the discovery of a large clear bag containing a much larger amount of white pills. Over 250 white tablets were discovered and later to be identified as Xanax, as well as the small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

 

Due to the large number of pills seized, Isabella Lawson was charged with the following:

1. Felony Possession of a Schedule IV Substance

2. Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver a Schedule IV Substance

3. Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia

Ms. Lawson was booked into the Ashe County Detention Center on a $30,000 secured bond.
