Sheriff K9 Track Leads to Arrest of Wanted Subject in Creston

CRESTON, N.C.- Sheriff B. Phil Howell announces the arrest of 42-year-old
Isreal David Daugherty of Creston, NC.

Ashe County 911 Dispatch received a call Friday, December 16th, for a welfare
check on Isreal Daughtery. Deputies were dispatched to a residence where they
attempted to make contact with the male subject Isreal Daugherty. Deputies
were unsuccessful in locating Daughtery at the residence but received an
additional call stating the subject’s truck was spotted at the Big Laurel Church in
Creston. Deputies Johnson, Wingler, and Farmer arrived at the church and
began searching the area. Deputy Johnson deployed K9 Condor to attempt a
track of the subject. Deputies alongside K9 Condor tracked and apprehended
Daughtery without incident in a nearby adjacent property.

 

Deputies transported Daughtery to the Ashe County Detention Center, where he was booked on the below
charges and released.

Isreal David Daugherty, 42 years old, of Creston, was
charged with the following:
• Assault on a Female
• Communicating Threats

Daugherty was released on December 17th on a $3500
bond. He was arrested on December 20th for Probation
Violation and currently held under a $5000 secured
bond.
