WHO: NC Child, a statewide nonprofit that advances public policies that improve the lives of all North Carolina children, and AppHealthCare, a local public health agency and community health center focused on improving and protecting the community’s health.
WHAT: The State of the Child Ashe-Alleghany-Watauga County
This gathering will bring together local child advocates, school system professionals, health care providers, child care leaders, elected officials, and community members for a data-informed conversation about how children are faring in Ashe, Alleghany, and Watauga counties and how we can work together to improve outcomes.
The event will feature key findings from the latest NC Child County Data Cards for Ashe, Alleghany, and Watauga counties. Following the presentation, there will be a facilitated discussion to reflect on the data, uplift what is working well for children, and explore areas for continued growth and collaboration.
