Artist, singer, songwriter, actor and activist Kris Kristofferson passed away peacefully in his home in Maui, Hawaii, on Saturday, Sept. 28, surrounded by family. He was 88. Kristofferson changed the language of country music with songs like “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down” “Me and Bobby McGee,” and “Help Me Make It Through the Night.” He is survived by his wife, Lisa; eight children; and seven grandchildren.
