Celebrating National Hospice and Palliative Care Month

Celebrating National Hospice and Palliative Care Month

AMOREM is proud to join the nation in recognizing November as National Hospice and Palliative Care Month.

AMOREM serves the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients with serious illnesses and their families. The organization recognizes dying as a natural part of living and its hospice care program helps patients to live as pain-free and comfortably as possible. The organization’s palliative medicine program is in place to assist anyone who is living with a serious illness to optimize their quality of life, prevent frequent hospitalizations and empower the patient and family in managing complex illnesses.

“This year, for National Hospice and Palliative Care Month,” says AMOREM provider Sarah Seaver, “we would like to take the time to thank our communities we serve for allowing us the privilege to provide quality, thoughtful loving care to patients and to continue offering support and education to their families. It is our honor to provide care to patients within our communities, right here at home.”

AMOREM’s professional care teams have provided quality hospice and palliative care to communities for more than 40 years- originally as Burke Hospice and Palliative Care and Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care and, since 2021, as AMOREM. The organization is your local, nonprofit hospice and palliative medicine provider, serving 12 counties with three patient care units and a fourth on the way in the High Country.

AMOREM physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, medical social workers, certified nursing assistants, chaplains, volunteers, grief support specialists and more, thank you for entrusting us with the care of you and your loved ones.

“Our team of experts go beyond the basic services required by Medicare and offer a wide range of enhanced services like Veteran resources, Legacy Life projects, Pet Peace of Mind resources, community grief resources, therapies and much more,” says Lisa Caviness, director of public relations for AMOREM.

Referrals may be made by the patient themselves, family members, friends, clergy members or physicians by calling 828.754.0101 or 1.844.4AMOREM. To learn more about how AMOREM can impact the quality of your life, visit www.amoremsupport.org or call 828.754.0101 to speak with a local team member.
