CHARLESTON, S.C. – Appalachian State men’s basketball will tip off the Charleston Classic on Nov. 15 against Big Ten foe Purdue.
The Mountaineers’ contest against the Boilermakers, who have reached the Sweet 16 in each of the past two seasons, will tip at 5 p.m. at the TD Arena and will be broadcast on ESPN2.
App State will then take on either Davidson or Wichita State on Nov. 16 on ESPNU at 4:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m.
The Mountaineers’ final game in the tournament will take place Nov. 18.
Other teams in the field include Alabama, Ball State, Northeastern and Virginia Tech. The Black and Gold will travel to take on Alabama in a non-bracketed game on Nov. 11 at a time that has yet to be announced.
The Mountaineers appeared on national television three times last season, including two occurrences during the Puerto Rico Tip-Off at Myrtle Beach, where Appalachian topped UTEP 76-72.
All tournament tickets for the Charleston Classic go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 13. Fans have the chance to purchase a discounted early bird baseline/upper level ticket for $100 or a premium sideline general admission seat for $125 through Aug. 10.

The Mountaineers return 13 members from last season’s squad, which posted their first Sun Belt Tournament victory since joining the league in 2014-15 after earning the No. 5 seed in the tournament.
