[Jefferson, NC] — Come out for the Ashe Dash, a community and family friendly event, to be held on Saturday, May 11th. The Ashe Dash is a 5k and fun run event to benefit the Top Dog Clinic, Ashe County Middle School’s health center. The race will begin at the Ashe County High School. Registration starts at 7:30am. If you are not a runner but would still like to offer support, there is the option to be a sleep-in supporter.
The Top Dog Clinic provides primary medical and behavioral health services to middle school students at the Ashe County Middle School. The focus of the Top Dog Clinic is prevention so that health problems and risky behaviors can be caught early or prevented altogether. Students are treated quickly and problems caught early so that they spend more time in class. It is one of only 52 school based clinics in the state.
