Good evening—The weather was better today—cool but at least it wasn’t raining—sunny weather always makes us feel better.
Day 23 of required instruction—Students—We miss your smiling faces! I know you are working hard at home and would love to see your learning in action. Go to the school system’s FaceBook page—AsheCountyPublicSchools—and share your picture in the Comments section. Also, remember that tomorrow is catch-up Friday. Look at the checklist for the week from your teacher and complete anything you haven’t finished.
Don’t forget Students and Parents—there is a box on each bus for you to return your library books.
Day 32 for CN— 1817 breakfast and 1817 lunch meals were prepared and delivered today. Thank you to everyone who is making sure our students have good and nutritious meals.
Are you ready for the answer to yesterday’s riddle (What’s really easy to get into but hard to get out of?) TROUBLE!! Moose, I bet you got this one without looking it up!
Today’s riddle. What building has the most stories?
More about our zebra friends. Zebras make all sorts of weird sounds. The mountain zebras whinny like a horse, Grevy’s zebras bray like a donkey and the plains zebras bark like dogs. Zebras eat mostly grass and will travel up to 1800 miles in search of food—some will also eat leaves and twigs. During the zebra’s annual migration in search of food and water, it is the responsibility of the oldest male in the family to ensure that the group never strays too far from water. Interesting. We’ll finish our study tomorrow.
Now—more about why it is important that we read every day. Benefit #3—It improves general knowledge. The more knowledge you have, the better equipped you are to handle many of life’s challenges. Pick a book you like and read every night.
I hope everyone had a good day. Get a good night’s rest, but don’t forget to read first!! Talk with you again soon.
