Ashe County Cleaning Supply Drive for In-Home Programs

Dear Ashe County Friends & Neighbors:

Most of us are already thinking about our closet clean-outs and spring cleaning plans as the weather begins to turn warmer. However, for many of our community’s home care clients, it can be a daunting and sometimes impossible task due to lack of supplies. It is crucial to maintain a clean and safe living environment for these clients, especially those who have underlying health issues.  The In-Home Aide programs in our community have highly trained professional staff who provides care to clients and their families.  Routine tasks can include assistance with bathing and other personal care needs, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry and shopping for essential items that they may no longer be able to manage.  Our hard working care staff are always in need of supplies.

To assist with this need, the Ashe County Volunteer Initiative is hosting a Cleaning Supply Drive from February 27th through March 31st and we desperately need your help.  Enclosed, please find a list of needed supplies.  Would you and your church, organization, or group be willing to partner with us and gather these needed supplies or make a monetary donation?  All supplies may be dropped off at Generations Ashe, 180 ChattyRob Lane, West Jefferson, NC 28694.  If you have any questions or need assistance in picking up your supplies, please contact Jennifer Richardson, Ashe County Volunteer Coordinator.  We greatly appreciate your support!  You are making a difference in the lives of others.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Richardson
