App State’s Brice Named to Manning Award, CFPA Watch Lists

BOONE, N.C. — App State quarterback Chase Brice has been named to the watch lists for the Manning Award and the CFPA National Performer of the Year Trophy.

With 30 watch list candidates, the Manning Award was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl in honor of the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning. It is the only quarterback award that includes the candidates’ bowl performances in its balloting.

Brice is one of 38 players on the CFPA list.

Last season, Brice set App State’s single-season record for passing yards with a league-leading 3,337 to go along with season totals of 27 touchdown passes and a 62.1 completion percentage.
