BOONE, N.C. — App State Football signed nine Class of 2025 recruits from the high school ranks Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period.
To date, each Class of 2025 signee is rated as a three-star prospect. Nine of the 10 plan to enroll at App State for the start of the 2025 spring semester.
Wednesday’s signees come from North Carolina (two), Georgia (two), Florida (three), Alabama (one) and Mississippi (one). The breakdown splits the group into five offensive players and four defenders.
App State received the signed paperwork from defensive lineman Kaden Ellis and running back Max Guest shortly after 7 a.m. Ellis had committed to App State in October 2023, while Guest committed in May.

High School: A knee injury sustained in April 2024 caused Ellis to miss his senior season of football, after a junior season in which he was named a GACA 5-A all-state defensive lineman and the 2023 5-A Region 7 Defensive Player of the Year … As a sophomore, posted 56 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 16 quarterback hurries, seven sacks and three forced fumbles … Competed in the postseason Georgia Elite Classic all-star game after his sophomore season …Also has excelled as a thrower in track and field … Rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports.
