SEINFELD’S “COFFEE” SHOW OWNERSHIP UPHELD IN COURT
NEW YORK (AP) – Did Jerry Seinfeld make his own “Coffee?” A court ruling says yes. An appeals court in New York has ruled that the comedian’s show “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” was his creation. That’s a blow to a one-time collaborator who helped direct the first episode. Christian Charles claimed he hatched the idea – and that he should have a cut of some of the money the show has made since it was bought by Netflix. A lower court had already rejected the claim – and now an appeals court agrees.

“LET’S MAKE A DEAL” TO HONOR COVID-19 FRONT-LINERS
NEW YORK (AP) – “Let’s Make a Deal” wants to make a big deal of those on the front lines of the fight against the coronavirus. The show is inviting those in the medical field, first responders and others to tape themselves wearing crazy costumes like the studio audience wears. The clips will be shown in a special online edition of the CBS game show. Brady says having front liners join the fun is a way for the show to “be that bright spot in their day.” These days, the show is done without a studio audience because of COVID-19.

“THE EDDY” – AMANDLA STENBERG
LOS ANGELES (AP) – The love affair between Paris and African American jazz artists is strong, with many stars over the decades seeking cultural shelter there. A miniseries on Netflix, “The Eddy,” takes a fond look at the Paris jazz scene of the 1950s. And one of the stars says she wanted to be sensitive to the racial climate of the era. Amandla Stenberg says the welcoming, multicultural vibe of Paris wasn’t baked into the script. But she says it was something she and co-star Andre Holland wanted viewers to pick up on.
“The Eddy” premieres tonight.

EX-AIDE WHO MADE CLAIM AGAINST BIDEN INTERVIEWED
NEW YORK (AP) – The ex-aide accusing Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden of sexual assault has been interviewed by Megyn Kelly. But Tara Reade’s sit-down with the former NBC host puts her in a position of giving an interview to a TV star who doesn’t have a TV show. Kelly has released a brief clip online on her social media accounts. It’s expected more of the interview will be released later. Biden has denied the allegation.
