LADY GAGA OFFERS REWARD FOR RETURN OF STOLEN DOGS
LOS ANGELES (AP) – Half-a-million dollars, no questions asked. That’s the bounty Lady Gaga is offering for the safe return of her two French bulldogs. The dogs were swiped Wednesday night from her dog walker in Los Angeles, who was set upon by armed bandits. The walker had three dogs in tow; two were stolen and a third escaped and was later found. It’s unclear whether the dog walker was targeted because of his ties to Lady Gaga – or because French bulldogs can cost thousands of dollars.
PEPPA PIG THEME PARK TO OPEN NEXT YEAR
WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (AP) – It’s unclear whether parents and their children will be ready to check out a new theme park next summer. But there will be one available. Officials at the Legoland Florida Resort plan to open a Peppa Pig theme park. It will be located near the main Legoland park – but will require a separate entrance fee. The Peppa Pig park will feature rides, interactive attractions, themed playscapes, water play areas and live shows.
ROBERT IRWIN DOES ANIMAL VOICE FOR TV SHOW “BLUEY”
NEW YORK (AP) – Robert Irwin has long acted as a voice for animals. Now he’s actually voicing an animal. The teenage son of late “Crocodile Hunter” star Steve Irwin is lending his voice to a character on the popular animated children’s TV show “Bluey.” The story of a Blue Heeler pup and her pooch family has become a big deal worldwide. Speaking to The Associated Press from Australia, Irwin says it’s his first time portraying an animal – or doing the voice for one. The show can be seen on Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney NOW.
NBA TEAM PROBES EX-PLAYER’S BIGOTRY ALLEGATIONS
UNDATED (AP) – The Utah Jazz says it will “thoroughly investigate” a claim by former NBA player Elijah Millsap that longtime team executive Dennis Lindsey directed a bigoted statement at him in 2015. Millsap detailed the encounter in a tweet posted Wednesday. He says Lindsey threatened to – quote – , “cut your Black ass and send you back to Louisiana.” Lindsey, now the team’s executive vice president, denies this.
