ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) – Disneyland is ending its annual pass program. The California theme park is making the move 10 months after it shut down because of the coronavirus pandemic. Disney says it will start issuing prorated refunds to passholders who are eligible to receive them. But the company won’t say how many people have annual passes – or how much it will cost Disney to reimburse those who do. As for the future, Disney says it will develop new membership deals – and offer them once it can reopen. Disneyland closed in March, 2020 and hasn’t reopened since – because coronavirus numbers haven’t eased enough for health officials to open the park again, even with limited capacity.

MR. ROGERS WIDOW HAS DIED
UNDATED (AP) – The woman who was married to Fred Rogers for more than a half century has died. The Rogers Center reports Joanne Rogers died yesterday at age 92. No cause of death was given. Since Fred Rogers’s death in 2003, Joanne Rogers helped celebrate and protect her husband’s legacy as host of “Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood.” In its statement announcing her death, the center describes Joanne Rogers as “a joyful and tender-hearted spirit.”

A representative for Siegfried Fischbacher says the entertainer has died in Las Vegas at age 81. He had pancreatic cancer. During their long Las Vegas career, Siegfried & Roy astonished millions with their illusions. The two were also close friends. They performed until 2003, when Horn was critically injured by one of the act’s famed white tigers.
