NEW YORK (AP) – Lots of questions – but few answers – as a panel of appeals court judges takes a close look at a lawsuit that pits President Donald Trump against a former contestant on his old show the “Apprentice.” At issue is a lawsuit filed by former contestant Summer Zervos – who sued Trump for calling her a liar after she came forward with sexual assault allegations against Trump more than a decade ago. Trump’s lawyers want the case kicked out of court – or delayed until after he is no longer president. One of the Trump team’s arguments is that a sitting president can’t be sued in state court over conduct outside official duties. Zervos’ arguments maintain that a president can’t stand above the law.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – You don’t have to be a former Secretary of State to be a guest star on the reboot of “Murphy Brown.” Just ask Bette Midler and Brooke Shields. They have landed spots to do drop-ins on the CBS sitcom. For Midler it will be a return trip. She was on the original “Murphy Brown” – as one of the many difficult, short-tenured secretaries to Murphy, played by Candice Murphy. Midler’s appearance is set for Nov. 8. Other guests include Katie Couric, John Larroquette and Peter Gallagher.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Supermodel Karlie Kloss has gotten married. She has tied the knot with businessman Joshua Kushner. Kloss posted photos of her and her new hubby on social media. The images on Instagram and Twitter shows them wearing wedding garb – and huge smiles. People magazine reports the couple married at a small ceremony in upstate New York and will have a larger ceremony in the spring. Kloss’ hubby is the younger brother of Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and one of his senior advisers. Meanwhile Kloss will be the new host of “Project Runway.”

ATLANTA (AP) – One show. Two reality TV stars. Two arrests. Two different incidents. That’s the deal with a pair of cast members of VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.” Authorities say the performer known as Tommie Lee was arrested Tuesday on assault and child cruelty charges. Police say she was taken in after she shoved her child’s head into a locker at a middle school. After she was released Wednesday, court records indicate she was arrested again that night on other charges, including aggravated stalking. Meanwhile, Erica Mena was arrested Oct. 12 on marijuana possession charges after getting into a spat with her boyfriend. Court records say she was charged with criminal trespassing.

TORRINGTON, Conn. (AP) – There’s been a settlement in connection with the car accident that killed Chris Berman’s wife. The ESPN broadcaster’s wife was killed last May when she rear-ended a man who was on his way home after visiting his wife’s grave. The man also died in the wreck. Police say Katherine Berman’s blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit to drive at the time of the wreck. The settlement was between the family of the man who died and a Connecticut restaurant accused of serving alcohol to Mrs. Berman before the wreck. A lawyer for the restaurant’s owner said there’s a confidentiality agreement and declined to comment.
