HOW TO BE LIKE LILLY SINGH ON YOUTUBE
NEW YORK (AP) – Lilly Singh points out there are no people on YouTube anymore, because everyone is now a “brand.” Singh gets asked all the time how to build up a following on YouTube the way she did. She says part of her success is because when she started in 2010, no one was making YouTube videos as a career the way people do now. She says she spoke about things she cared about, so her advice is to prioritize a genuine point of view. Singh now hosts “A Little Late Night with Lilly Singh” on NBC, which resumes with new shows on Monday.

 

NEW ‘BREAKING BAD’ STORE TO CATER TO FANS OF THE AMC SERIES
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) – A store will be opening in Albuquerque that will cater to fans of the AMC-TV hit series “Breaking Bad.” A co-owner of The Breaking Bad Store ABQ says local artists have been commissioned to create unique items inspired by the long-running series and its cast of characters. The shop will also carry items inspired by the show that aren’t readily available in the U.S. Co-owner Edward Candelaria tells Albuquerque station KOB-TV that the store’s grand opening will be next Tuesday. “Breaking Bad” followed a high school chemistry teacher turned meth lord. The series ran from 2008 to 2013.

 

BEN NAPIER OF “HOME TOWN” MAKES BAR FOR OLE MISS
OXFORD, Miss. (AP) – Ben Napier of the HGTV show “Home Town” is behind the handcrafted bar that will open inside a hotel on the University of Mississippi campus. The Oxford Eagle reports the current McCormick’s cafe inside the Inn at Ole Miss is being renovated after receiving resort status last year. Napier is an Ole Miss alumnus.

 

EX-PARTNER OF WHITNEY HOUSTON’S LATE DAUGHTER DIES
ATLANTA (AP) – The ex-boyfriend of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown, has died. Nick Gordon was 30 years old. Gordon’s attorney confirmed his client’s death in a statement Wednesday to The Associated Press. He did not give a cause of death. Brown was the daughter of singers Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. She was found unresponsive in a bathtub in 2015 and died after months in a coma at the age of 22. Investigators didn’t determine exactly how Brown died. Her family blamed Gordon, accusing him in the lawsuit of giving her a “toxic cocktail.” Gordon was never charged in the case, but he was found responsible in a wrongful death lawsuit.
