AMBER HEARD SAYS DEPP FLUNG BOTTLES AT HER
LONDON (AP) – People following the Johnny Depp libel trial may have thought they had heard everything there was to hear about a brawl-filled incident in March, 2015 involving the couple in Australia – an incident that ended with his ex-wife, Amber Heard, accusing Depp of domestic abuse and Depp losing part of his finger. But there are more details coming out about the situation. In her testimony yesterday, Heard said that during that the three-day stay at a rented property, Depp was “completely out of his mind and out of control” after abusing drugs and alcohol. She says Depp threw “30 or so bottles” at her as if there were “grenades or bombs” – and that she feared for her life. Heard returns to the stand for what will be a fourth – and expected final – day of testimony.
CLINT EASTWOOD SUES COMPANIES OVER CBD SUPPLEMENTS CLAIM
LOS ANGELES (AP) – Clint Eastwood is taking nearly two dozen companies to court – because he says they’re suggesting he’s hawking CBD products. The actor-director has filed a pair of lawsuits against the companies – who he says have used his name and image to plug their firms. The suits say the companies have spread phony articles reporting that Eastwood had quit Hollywood to focus on businesses that sell products that include the active ingredient in pot. The lawsuits say not only is Eastwood not involved in the CBD industry – he’d never even endorse it.
KIM KARDASHIAN WEST SEEKS COMPASSION FOR TROUBLED HUBBY KANYE WEST
NEW YORK (AP) – Kim Kardashian West says her husband is “a brilliant but complicated person” – and that Kanye West needs compassion, not criticism. The reality TV star defended West in a long post on Instagram Live yesterday – saying people shouldn’t be quick to get on West’s case because he recently did things like declare himself a presidential candidate, dissed slave liberator Harriet Tubman – and got emotional discussing abortion at what was supposed to be a campaign rally over the weekend. Kardashian West acknowledges that her husband is bi-polar – and that she usually wouldn’t discuss his emotional issues. But she says she’s doing so to end what she calls “the stigma and misconceptions about mental health.”
