2026 Spring Job Fair scheduled for April 7 at Wilkes Community College
Wilkesboro, N.C. – Job seekers across the region are invited to attend the Spring Job Fair on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the John A. Walker Center, located on the campus of Wilkes Community College.
The Spring Job Fair will bring together nearly 50 employers representing a variety of industries, providing opportunities for job seekers to network, explore career options, and connect directly with hiring professionals. The event is open to the community, with a special welcome extended to veterans.
Attendees are encouraged to dress professionally and bring copies of their resumes. In addition to employment opportunities, participants will be eligible to win door prizes, including MerleFest tickets and restaurant gift cards.
“This job fair is a great opportunity for job seekers to meet employers face-to-face, learn about openings across multiple industries, and make valuable connections in a short amount of time,” said Mike Roope, Director of Student Support Services. “Events like this help strengthen our local workforce and support individuals at every stage of their career journey.”
The 2026 Spring Job Fair is sponsored by Wilkes Community College, NCWorks Career Center, Goodwill Industries of Northwest NC, NC Department of Health and Human Services, High Country Workforce Development Board, Wilkes Economic Development Corporation, and the Wilkes Chamber of Commerce.
