Over 40 businesses from Wilkes and surrounding counties are expected to attend. “Employers are eager to hire our talented students and talent from the community,” says Mike Roope, Director of Counseling, Career Services, and Student Life at Wilkes Community College. “Employers want to meet new candidates and fill their job vacancies, sometimes on the spot. The Job Fair is a great opportunity to meet multiple employers under one roof and learn which jobs are in demand for our region.”
The 2025 Spring Job Fair is sponsored by Wilkes Community College, NCWorks Career Center, Goodwill Industries of Northwest NC, NC Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities, High Country Workforce Development Board, Wilkes Recovery Revolution, Wilkes Economic Development Corporation, and the Wilkes Chamber of Commerce. There will be a variety of door prize drawings, including MerleFest tickets and gift cards to area restaurants.
