Boone’s Winter Farmers Market open 9am to noon every first and third Saturday, December through April, at the Watauga County Agricultural Conference Center, located at 252 Poplar Grove Rd. in Downtown Boone. Next upcoming market in this Saturday February 3rd.

 


New River Volunteer Fire Department will be having rook tournaments this Saturday February 3rd Food will be served starting at 6:00 PM and tournament starts at 7:00 PM

Teen Mental Health Awareness Day Tuesday, February 6th at The Ashe County Library, from 4-5pm. This day will kick start several upcoming events focused on mental health as part of the Good Neighbor Project. The teens will be playing a game focused on building self-esteem. There will also be goodie bags filled with different ways to combat stress and snacks will be provided. For more information, call 846.2041

It’s the 12th Annual High Country Ice Bowl Sat Feb 10th, 9 AM-5 PM at Ashe County Park Disc Golf Course Ashe Park Rd., Jefferson, Registration is from 9:00 am to 9:45 am. Entry fee is $25 and includes lunch and players pack. All proceeds will be going to the local food bank at Ashe Outreach. Come out and show your support!
