Ashe County Sheriff’s Office Reports

 

The Ashe County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of the following individuals for drug related offenses:

 

On Thursday, April 26th, Deputy Logan Fox and Sgt. William Byrd responded to a breaking and entering on Three Top Rd in Creston. After speaking with the victim, deputies were able to identify some of the stolen property at a neighboring residence. Deputies later discovered approximately 11.5 ounces of marijuana packaged in several baggies. Brian Troy Aberle, age 45 of Creston, was arrested and charged with:

 

Felony Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Felony Maintaining a Dwelling Place for Controlled Substances, Felony Possession Schedule VI Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Aberle was issued a $15,000 secured  bond and given a court date of April 26. The marijuana seized has a street value of approximately $3,500.

 

In two separate incidents, Deputies arrested the following individuals after traffic stops in the West Jefferson and Fleetwood areas.

 

On April 21, 2018 deputies initiated a traffic stop in West Jefferson due to a separate incident that had occurred inside Wal-Mart. Deputy Ryan Shepherd arrested Kimberly Lynn Edwards of Moravian Falls and charged her with the following:

 

Possession of Schedule lll, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Aid and Abet Larceny, and First Degree Trespassing. Edwards was given a $2,500 bond and a May 31 court date.

 

On April 22, 2018, Sgt. William Byrd and Deputy Charles Howard assisted Trooper Parunak with the NCSHP on a traffic stop in the Fleetwood area. Officers were able to seize weapons and methamphetamine from inside the vehicle. Those arrested are:

 

Dustin Allen Penley, age 22 of Fleetwood, was charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Penley was given a $3,000 secured bond and a court date of April 26, 2018.

 

Logan McKinley Trivette, age 23 of Fleetwood, was charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Carry a Concealed Gun. Trivette was given a $5,000 bond and a court date of April 26, 2018.
